Atmospheric risk intelligence

From weather and climate to real-world decisions.

Sector views will translate atmospheric data into what it means for the people and industries that depend on it. Every score must rest on a documented, validated method — so today this page shows real hazard context, and no risk levels.

Turn atmospheric data into a more resilient tomorrow.

  • Sector context built on real, dated layers
  • Global coverage, local detail where data allows
  • A documented method before any score
  • Source and time shown with every layer

Globe: NASA Blue Marble, Black Marble and MODIS cloud composite — illustrative, not current weather.

Hazard context map

Real, dated layers a sector view would build on. This is physical context, not a risk assessment.

Context layers

Hazard context, not risk. No exposure, vulnerability or thresholds are applied. Colours show the physical quantity only.

What each sector would need

Before a single number is shown: the questions, inputs, method and validation.

Our rule for risk. We do not invent risk scores. Any score, category, probability or threshold must have a documented methodology, defined inputs, an update frequency, stated limitations and validation where applicable.

  • Agriculture

    Questions it would answer
Is heat or dryness coinciding with sensitive crop stages?
    Data inputs
Temperature, precipitation, soil moisture, evapotranspiration, crop calendars.
    Method to document
Agro-climatic indices with published thresholds per crop and region.
    Validation
Comparison against historical yield and drought records.
  • Aviation

    Questions it would answer
Where is deep convection or turbulence likely along a route?
    Data inputs
Forecast convection, winds and jet-stream position, cloud and visibility.
    Method to document
Operational products must follow official aviation meteorology sources.
    Validation
Verification against pilot reports and official advisories.
  • Energy

    Questions it would answer
How will temperature, wind and cloud affect demand and renewable output?
    Data inputs
Temperature (degree days), hub-height wind, solar irradiance, cloud cover.
    Method to document
Transparent conversion models with stated assumptions.
    Validation
Back-testing against metered demand and generation data.
  • Shipping

    Questions it would answer
Which routes and ports face hazardous winds or seas?
    Data inputs
Marine winds, significant wave height, tropical cyclone tracks.
    Method to document
Thresholds tied to vessel class and published marine warnings.
    Validation
Comparison with buoy observations and official warnings.
  • Insurance

    Questions it would answer
How unusual is a hazard compared with the historical record?
    Data inputs
Reanalysis climatology, event footprints, return periods.
    Method to document
Documented return-period estimation with uncertainty ranges.
    Validation
Peer-reviewed methods and independent historical records.

Atmospheric intelligence, built on evidence.

Sector views will reuse the observation, climate and event layers — and inherit their sources and methodology.
